Recent News

Oliver has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Award to teach and conduct research in the Philippines. Dr. Molina will serve at the University of the Philippines College of Music in Quezon City from January through June 2027. He will research the kulintang, an ancient gong instrument with deep significance in Filipino culture and musical tradition, while teaching percussion seminars and masterclasses. 

The Ninkasi Percussion Group will be going on their Fall 2026 tour visiting schools in South Louisiana.

Oliver will be presenting at the 2026 Texas Music Educators Association Conference from February 11-14 in San Antonio, TX. He will present his clinic titled “Harmonizing work and life: achieving balance as a music educator.”

The Ninkasi Percussion Group will be a featured ensemble at the 2025 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. They will perform an hour long concert including a world premiere by Mat Campbell. The concert is on Wednesday, December 18 at 1:30 PM in W184 in the McCormick Place West.
