Recent News

The Northwestern State Percussion Ensemble has been selected to perform at PASIC 2021. They will perform the New Literature Showcase Concert on Friday, November 12, at 4 PM in the Wabash Ballroom. Check out the full program on the Text page. The ensemble will be performing the concert five other times in preparation for the convention.

The 2nd Annual Drums Along the River featuring the NSU Drumline and Steel Band is on Friday, October 29 at 6:30 PM. The performance will be for Natchitoches community at the Downtown Riverfront Stage.

Oliver will be performing Matt Curlee’s The Ending of All Things From a Distance for marimba and tape at the 2021 Annual NSU Faculty Showase. The recital is on Thursday, September 23, at 7:30 PM in Magale Recital Hall.

Oliver has collaborated with music faculty members from NSU, LA Tech, and ULM in a recital of music by Marc Mellits. The performance will be on Tuesday, August 24, at 7:30 PM in Magale Recital Hall.
